Mildred Morris

Mildred Taylor Dempsey Morris, age 96 of Calhoun, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015 at Gordon Health Care. Mildred was born on March 23, 1919 in Cherokee County, GA to the late John Taylor and Delilah Archer Taylor. She was a member of Pleasant Olive Baptist Church of Rydal. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Tommy Taylor and Huey Taylor; and sister, Lena Mae Taylor Clark. She is survived by her daughter, Ellen Dempsey McEntyre and her husband Jack of Calhoun; two grandsons, Tracy McEntyre and his wife Shelia and Page McEntyre and his wife Annette; great-grandchildren, Russell McEntyre and his wife Vivian, Ryder McEntyre, Jessie Thompson and Katie McEntyre; and two great-great-grandsons, James McEntyre and Andrew McEntyre. Graveside Services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 21st at 2:00 PM from Damascus Cemetery with Reverend Kenny Rogers officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday prior to the funeral from 12 PM until 1:30 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
