Mildred Jeanelle Jolley

September 22, 2010 Ms. Mildred Owens Fox Jolley, age 81 of Calhoun, died Tuesday at Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome. Mildred was born January 19, 1929 in Gordon County. She is the daughter of the late Willie V. and Clyde Owens. Mildred was a member of Belmont Baptist Church, retired from Astro Dye, and was a member of Sequoyah Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. She was also preceded in death by her son Scott Fox in 1973 and brother Glenn Owens. Survivors include one daughter Donna Fox Campbell of Calhoun, one sister Jeanette West of Plainville and nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday September 24 at 2:00 PM at Belmont Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Hawkins officiating. The body will lie in state from 1 to 2 PM at the church. Internment will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens with Dr. John Allen officiating. Pallbearers include Steven Fox, Randall Fox, Jimmy Fox, Scott Fox, Gary West, and Dwight Gentry and they are asked to meet at the church at 12:45 Friday. The family will receive friends Thursday September 23 from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Family requests contributions be made to Belmont Baptist Church building fund in lieu of flowers.
