Michael Ledell Mincey

Michael Ledell Mincey, age 61 of Calhoun, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Gordon Hospital. Michael was born on August 5, 1955 in Cartersville, GA to the late J.C. Mincey and Frances Wilkey Mincey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jason Colston. He was a member of Blackwood Springs Baptist Church. Michael was an avid football and baseball fan. He is survived by his son, Michael Mills and his wife Jessica of Augusta; daughter, Michelle Mincey and Jon of Rome; step-daughter, Paula Hufstetler of Calhoun; two brothers, Steve Mincey and Mick Mincey and his wife Tammy both of Calhoun; three sisters, Elane Kent of Adairsville, Sheila Mitchell of Adairsville, and Vona Artemis of Cartersville; and five grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted at 3 PM on Saturday, October 29th at Blackwood Springs Baptist Church with Reverend Steve Morrow officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers serving will be Mick Mincey, Phillip Puckett, Michael Mills, Michael Hufstetler, Kent Womack and Terry Chamlee.
