Michael Gogan

Michael Gogan, age 36 of Calhoun, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018, at the Health Care Center of Stanfifer Place and Hospice of Chattanooga, due to injuries sustained in an accident July 2015. Michael was born on January 30, 1982 in Rockdale County, GA to Robert J. Gogan and Cynthia Lynn Gogan. He was a former member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Michael lived for his children and was an avid outdoorsman. He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Albert and Drew Willie Cheek; grandparents, Robert and Ellen Gogan; aunt, Sue Richardson Woods; uncles, Michael Brennan and Ronald Cheek. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sons, Skyler Gogan of Lewisburg, TN and Preston Gogan of Modesto, CA; daughter, Brooklynn Grace Gogan of Modesto, CA; grandparents, Charles and Elenora Collins of Stone Mountain, GA; aunt and uncle, Michael and Elizabeth Collins of Conyers, GA; brother, Joseph Gogan and his wife Joanna of Webster, MA; sister, Elizabeth Gogan and her friend Levan Bowling of Calhoun, GA; nieces and nephews, Leighton and Samuel Dean Bowling. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home at 11:30 AM with Reverend Richard Webster and Chaplin Jenny Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery with Joseph Gogan, Skylar Gogan, Levon Bowling, Jack Patton, Jimmy Burchette and Jeremy Deese serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer Preston Gogan.
