Michael Eldon Fowler

Michael Eldon Fowler, age 63 of Calhoun, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016 at Floyd Medical Center. Michael was born on December 31, 1952 in Dalton to the late Claude Mitchell Fowler, Jr and Betty Jean Cochran Fowler. He was an avid CB’er known as “Hammer” and loved to tinker with watches. He loved the outdoors and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Dwayne Fowler II; and a sister, Cindy Haynes. He is survived by his wife, Irma Singleton Fowler of Calhoun; children, Michael Fowler and his wife Tina of Calhoun, Dewayne Fowler and his wife Crystal of Calhoun, Misty Fowler of Calhoun, and Jonathan Fowler, his wife Kayla of Chatsworth, and Twyla Dixon and her husband, Tarvis; six brothers, Larry Fowler and his wife Gayle of Calhoun, Charlie Fowler and his wife Christine of Chatsworth, David Fowler of Dalton, Mitchell Fowler of Calhoun, Robin Fowler of Tunnel Hill, and Stevie Haynes of Tunnel Hill; two sisters, Janie Fowler of Tennessee and Rosie Henry of Tunnel Hill; twelve grandchildren, Monalisa Evans, Tosha Fowler, Kaysha Fowler, Destiny Patterson, Tiara Fowler, Heaven-Leigh Miracle Fowler, Michael Alexander Trejo, Gage Fowler, Nicholas Fowler, Brenden Fowler, Damya Austin, and Jacob Nixon; and four great-grandchildren, Skyler Evans, Bryson Evans, Brantley Long, and Mia Long. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, June 22nd at 10 AM at Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Doug Roebuck officiating. Burial will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park with Michael Fowler, Dwayne Fowler, Jonathan Fowler, Damya Austin, Hector Trejo, and Jackie Long serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 4 PM until 8 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
