Wednesday, March 25, 2009 Melissa Ann Wilkey Mills age 46 of 110 Richardson Rd., Calhoun, died Tuesday March 24th. in the Heartland Hospice in Cartersville. Melissa was born in Gordon County on March 15, 1963 daughter of Paul Wilkey and Barbara Ann Wyatt. She was a Waitress and was of the Church of God Faith. She was preceded in death by Grandparents; James and Pearl Mae Payne and John and Beulah Wilkey. Survivors in addition to her parents, Her One Love Fred Mills, two daughters; Misty Hornbeck and her Husband Jody of Cartersville, Angel Burke and her husband Floyd of Plainville, Ga. one brother; Wyman Wilkey of Conyers, Ga. a sister; Tonya Frederick of Calhoun a special aunt; Bonnie Shepherd., grandchildren; Hailey Hornbeck, Star Burke, Harley Burke, Anthony Thurman, Annaleese Thurman and Hayden Hornbeck, along with a number of cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 Thursday March 26th. from the chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Jackson and Rev.Jerry Gaddis officiating. Interment will follow in the Scott Cemetery in Plainville. Pallbearers sercving include Trent Payne, Chance Frederick, Randall Payne, Billy Wilkey, Thomas Parker and Anthony Wilkey. Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin Mosey, Norman Carpenter, Le and Tim Parks and all these gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home at 2:15 P.M.Thursday.
