Max Y. Adams

Max Y. Adams, age 86 of the Sonoraville Community, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at his residence. Max was born on October 4, 1926 in Turtle Town, TN. He was the son of the late Luther D. Adams and Martha Elizabeth Davis Adams. Max served in the United States Navy for three years during WWII. He was of the Baptist faith and has been a resident of Gordon County since 1955. Survivors include: his wife, Pauline T. Adams of the Sonoraville Community; four sons, Sam Adams and his wife Linda of Benton Station, TN, David Adams and his wife Neva of Calhoun, GA, Dean Adams and his wife Sandy of Resaca, GA, and Dennis Adams and his wife Marsha of Calhoun, GA; one daughter, Martha Millsapp and her husband Tommy of Adairsville, GA; four grandchildren, Robin Blalock and her husband Scott of Calhoun, GA, Chad Adams and his wife Paula of Calhoun, GA, Brooke Knight and her husband Chris of Calhoun, GA, and Cody Adams of Myrtle Beach, SC; four great-grandchildren, Baylee Blalock, Halley Adams, McLain Knight and Owen Knight; and a special fur-grandchild, Belle Millsapp also survives. Graveside Services will be conducted on Friday, June 28th at 3:00pm in Lee Cemetery in McDonald, TN with David Ware officiating.
