Thursday, March 26, 2009 Mrs. Mattie Sue Seritt age 92 of 735 Mountain Loop N.W., Sugar Valley, Ga., died Thursday March 26th. at her residence . Mrs. Seritt was born in Gordon County on Nov. 29, 1916 daughter of the late Lee and Dora Dean Miller and had spent her entire life here. She was a member of the Sugar Valley Church of God and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Calvin Tab Seritt in 1975, a Great-Grandson; Daniel Lee Pack, a sister Gertrude Peterson and a Brother A.B. Miller. Survivors include one son Neal Seritt of Sugar Valley, two daughters; Peggy Seritt and Patsy Pack both of Sugar Valley, one sister; Frances Robinson and her husband Rufus of Dalton, grandchildren; Leroy Pack, Terry, Bryand and Timmy Pack, Mitchell Pack and his wife Mary Ann, Christopher Seritt, Tyler and Hudson Seritt and Melinda Williams, 8 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P. M. Saturday from the Sugar Valley Church of God with Rev. Dwaine Shadix and Rev. Howard Duvall officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery in Calhoun. The body will be carried to the Sugar Valley Church of God to lie instate from 11:00 A.M. Friday until the funeral hour on Saturday. Pallbearers serving include Chris Seritt, Joshua Pack, Wesley Akley, and Kerry Robinson and they are asked to meet at the Church at 1:45 P.M. Saturday.
