Matt Bowen

Matt Bowen, age 41 of Rockmart and formerly of Calhoun died Saturday, June 1 at his residence in Rockmart. Matt was born, May 12, 1972 in Floyd County, son of Seth Bowen and the late Dottie Facette Bowen. Also, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.P. and Sallie Bowen, Bob and Catherine Facette; aunt, Beth Hawkins and her husband, Buddy; and uncle, Terry Bowen. He was a graduate of Calhoun High School, Class of 1990 and was a scholarship basketball athlete for Clayton State College. Matt is survived by his father, Seth Bowen of Rockmart and formerly of Gordon County; one sister, Jennifer Bowen of Denver, Colorado; and aunt, Pat Bowen of Calhoun. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, June 7 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Gary Graves officiating.
