Mrs. Mary M. Williams, age 84 of Calhoun died at 9:15 AM, Wednesday, February 14 in Redmond Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
Mary was born, June 11, 1922 in Texas, daughter of the late Ernest Mashburn and Ardenia Belle Whitten Mashburn; also, she was preceded in death by her husband Luther Williams, two brothers, Thomas E. Mashburn, and James E. Whitten, and two sisters, Pauline Cook and Lillie Belle Gee. She had lived most of her life in Gordon County; was a retired employee of Dixie Belle Mills; and was a Baptist.
Mary is survived by one brother, Jack Whitten and several nieces and nephews, Joan, Joyce, Connie, Darlene, Allen, Jimmy, Vickie, and Mike.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 17 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Parham Hammontree officiating. Burial will be in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers are Brannon Fain, Jack Edwards, Jimmy Whitten, Jeff Waid, Steve Hood, and Phil Neff. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 6:00 PM Friday and 10:00 until 12:00 Noon on Saturday.
