Mary Elizabeth Watkins

Friday, February 12, 2010 Mary Harris Watkins, age 91, of Calhoun. Died Friday morning February 12th at her residence. Mary was born in Gordon County July 4, 1918. She was the last living child of the late Mr. and Mrs. Issac Landrum Harris. She was a homemaker and she had made her profession of faith at Blackwood Springs Baptist Church where she had attended. Her husband Harold Watkins preceded Mary in death in 1983. She is survived by three sons; Olen Watkins and Jimmy Watkins and his wife Esdell all of Calhoun and Loyie Watkins of Dallas. Four grandchildren; Jody Watkins, Keith Watkins, Tracy Watkins England and Steven Watkins. One great grandchild, Andrea England. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday February 14th at 2pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. With Rev. Jacky Waits and Rev. Loy Frix officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include; Jody Watkins, Keith Watkins, Steven Watkins, C.L. Baker, Willie Joe Walker, Ray Patterson, and J.W. Roberts.
