Mary Anne Taylor

Saturday, December 05, 2009 Mary Anne Taylor, age 59, of Calhoun. Died Saturday morning December 5th in Gordon Hospital. Mary Anne was born in Gordon County December 17, 1949. Daughter of the late H. Lee and Idawee Knight Taylor. A sister, Zata Stewart, preceded her in death. Survivors include her brother, Van Taylor and his wife Susan of Calhoun. Two sisters, Marilyn Ashworth of Rosedale and Betty Taylor and her husband Jimmy of Cordele. One aunt Charlotte Knight of Calhoun along with a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Monday December 7th at 2pm at the Trinity Baptist Church. With Rev. Wayne Fowler and Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4 until 8pm. Pallbearers serving include Jerry Clements, Ronny Cornette, Phil French, David and Loy Knight, David Stokes and Jimmy Taylor and they are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:30 P.M. Monday. Michael Hunt, Amy Moore and Jan Stokes will have charge of the music. The family request that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas Fund or to your favorite Christmas Charity.
