Mary Madlene Sluder

Friday, November 17, 2006 Ms. Mary Sluder age 70, of 1244 Fairview Rd., Calhoun, died Thursday evening November 16th. in Redmond Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. Mary was born in Gordon County Ga. on Feb. 20, 1936 daughter of the late Charles and Mary Francis Roberts Fowler and had spent her entire life here. She was a former member of the Bethlehem Baptist , was a certified Nurses Assistant and in addition to her parents was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 4 sisters. Survivors include two daughters; Karen Guerin and her husband Lee of Calhoun and Belinda Preavette and her husband Robert also of Calhoun., one son; Ronnie Thomas Sluder of Calhoun and one sister; Lois Rogers of Ranger. Nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Monday November 20th. from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Parham Hammontree officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery near Sonoraville. Pallbearers serving include Tom Mullanix, Christopher, Bobby Lee, Anthony, and Thomas Preavette, Johnny Fowler and Mitchell Huey and they are asked to meet at the Funeral Home at 12:30 P.M. on Monday November 20th. Judy Henson will have charge of the music. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. Saturday and all day Sunday.
