Mary Jane Moore, age 77, of the Plainville community, passed away Sunday afternoon January 15th in Floyd Medical Center.

 

Mary was born February 20, 1945, in Gordon County, daughter of the late James R. Pierce and Cordelia Kinsey Pierce. Prior to her retirement she was employed by both Horizon and Mohawk Industries. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Shaw, sisters, Frances Pierce, Sherry Pierce, Bonnie Sue Pierce, Sydney Pierce, and Linda Lou Pierce.

 

She is survived by her sons, Chris Baldridge and his wife Kristy, Rickie, and Bankie Baldridge and his wife Jennifer. One daughter, Vickie Baldridge. Brothers, Terry Baldridge, David Pierce, Larry Pierce, and a sister, Bobbie Pierce. Grandchildren, T.J., Jamie, Barbara, Nicky, Jordon, Tori, Cheyene, Tyler, Sherri, Delia, Matthew, Johnathan, and Mary Jane. Five great-grandchildren, Miranda, Carter, Jaden, Kinsley, and Leeland. She is also survived by the father of her children, Leslie Baldridge to whom she was married for 18 years.

 

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday January 18th at 3pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Chase Carter and Rev. Roger Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers serving include T.J. Maddox, Mel Maddox, Lee Shipman, Michell Shipman, Bankie and Chris Baldridge.

 

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 until 7pm at the funeral home.
