Mary Ruth Guess

Mary Ruth Guess, age 73 of Ranger, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Morning Pointe Assisted Living. Mary was born on August 2, 1943 in Gordon County to the late Oles Pankey and Estelle Holbert Pankey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Scott Guess. She was a member of Fairview Church of God, The Red Hat Society, and helped run Camp Adventure for special needs children. Mary is survived by her son, Kelly Guess; daughter, Amy Guess both of Ranger; five grandchildren, Brandie Guess, Cody Guess, Gavin Pack, Zach Guess and Kaitlin Guess; and two great-grandchildren, Braylon Guess and Allie Guess. Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, March 12th at 3 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Terry Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12 PM until the funeral hour at 3PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Morning Pointe Assisted Living Lantern Area at 660 Jolley Road, Calhoun, GA 30701.
