Mary Lee Foster

Monday, July 28, 2008 Mrs. Mary Lee Foster age 75 of 9413 Fairmount Hwy, Fairmount, Ga. passed away Monday July 28th in Gordon Health Care Center following several months of declining health. Mrs. Foster was born in Pickens County, Georgia January 5, 1933, daughter of the late John Lee and Bertha Clark Findley. She had spent the greater part of her life in Gordon County where she retired as Plant Manager for Lacey-Champion Carpet Mills in Fairmount. She was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church and in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister; Carol Johnson and brothers; Randolph and Danny Findley and a sister-in-law; June Temples. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Garland C. Foster of Fairmount; two sons, Tony Foster and his wife, Monica of Houston, Texas, Tim Foster and his wife, Vickey of Fairmount; grandchildren, Lindsey, Ches and Clara Foster; a brother, Sammy Findley and his wife, Edna Mae of Adairsville; a sister, Jo Ann White and her husband, Jerry of Ranger; an uncle, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins; special sisters-in-law, Willene Teague, Scottie Knight and Peggy Craig; and a special friend, Donna Hightower. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday July 30 at the Antioch Baptist Church with Dr. Woody Lee officiating. The Antioch Baptist Church choir will arrange music. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove (Ryo) Cemetery at Fairmount with Rev. Randy Muse conducting the graveside services. Pallbearers serving are nephews and include Edwin, Brad, and Jeff Teague, Lou and Bryant White and Marc Temples.
