Tuesday, January 20, 2009 Mrs. Mary Lou Clark Dilbeck of Calhoun. Passed away at home Monday January 19th . Mrs. Dilbeck was born in Gordon County daughter of the late Clarence and Mary Gresham Clark. She was a devoted wife and mother who was deeply loved by her family and friends. Mrs. Dilbeck was a member of the West Union Baptist Church for 57 years. She was a member of the American Legion Post 47 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a avid bowler who bowled well into her 80’s and was a member of the Women’s Bowling Association. She was retired from the Calhoun City School System where she worked for 20 years as a lunchroom worker and manager. Mrs. Dilbeck was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years William Earl Dilbeck. One son, John Clark Dilbeck. Two grandchildren, Scott Dilbeck and Debbie Jones. One great-grandson, Dakota Earl Jordan also precedes her. She is survived by her children, Marilyn Hefner, Janice Dilbeck , Robert Dilbeck and his wife Linda all of Calhoun and Karen Braden and her husband Rickey of Adairsville. Ten grandchildren, Lee Hefner, Daryle Hefner, Mary Beth Jordan, Jessica Guess, Jennifer Dilbeck, Jack Corn, Kevin Dilbeck, Valerie, Melissa , and Jackson Braden. 18 great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday January 21st at 2 p.m. in the West Union Baptist Church. With Rev. Jerry Brooks officiating. Music will be arranged by Phyllis Futch and Eddie Baldwin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers serving will be her grandsons, Lee Hefner, Daryle Hefner, Kevin Dilbeck, Chad Guess, Jack Corn, Caleb Hefner, Michael Jordan and Bill Dempsey. You may send condolences to the family at www.thomasfuneralhomecalhoun.com The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 until 8pm Tuesday and on Wednesday until 12:30 at which time she will be taken to the church to lie in state from 1pm until the funeral hour. Thomas Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements for Mrs. Mary Lou Clark Dilbeck. MAMA IS WELL AND HAPPY IN THE HANDS OF HER LORD AND SAVIOUR. JESUS CHRIST. SHE WILL BE MISSED GREATLY BY HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS. SHE WILL ALWAYS BE WITH US….EVERYDAY
