Mary Fuller Blankenship, age 97 of the Plainville Community, passed away on Wednesday, April 15 at Winthrop Manor.
Mary was born on December 1, 1917 in Gordon County to the late Dolph Ingle Fuller and Maude Fouts. She was a member of the Plainville United Methodist Church and prior to her retirement was a teacher at Plainville Elementary School and Swain Elementary School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond V. Blankenship; two brothers, Ned Fuller and Dolph Fuller; and two sisters, Edna Nixon and Maude Fuller.
She was survived by three daughters, Jane Cochran and her husband Bob of Kingston, Ellen Archer and her husband David of Cartersville and Emily Bordner and her husband Bob of Lebanon, PA; one sister, Alice Panter and her husband Willis of Calhoun; sister-in-law, Dot Fuller of Fairmount; brother-in-law, Harry Battle of Rome; five grandchildren, Caleb Eidson, Andy Eidson, Mallory Eidson, Mary Ellen Archer Lighthiser and Martha Jane Archer; four step-grandchildren, Margaret Archer Zimmerman, David Gordon Archer, Jr., Catherine Archer Gaston and William Marshall Archer; and eleven step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, April 18th at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Bill Lowery officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery.
Pallbearers serving will be William Archer, David Archer, Jr., Will Panther, Ted Fuller, Jeremy Battle, Matthew Battle and Dallas Battle.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
