Marty Allen Purdy

Marty Allen Purdy, age 51, of Resaca and formerly of Acworth, passed away Sunday evening June 5^th, at his residence.

Marty was born October 9, 1970, in Newnan, Georgia, son of the late Benjamin Victor Purdy and Janice Ada Wallace Purdy. He was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served as a submariner. Marty was employed as an IT manager with Knapp prior to his illness.

He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Julie Lynn Purdy, three sons; Jamie Purdy, Corey Purdy, and Codi Purdy, one daughter; Kaitlyn Purdy, his stepchildren; Eric Ramson, David Ramson, and Sherri Evans. One brother; Gregory Freeman, one sister; Debbie Neill. Seven grandchildren; Levi Purdy, Torrence Purdy, Sophia Ramson, Spencer Ramson, Connor Ramson, Foster Ramson, and Riley Evans also survive.

Full Military Honors will be afforded June 14^th at 2pm at the Georgia National Cemetery.
