Martha “Penny” Jordan, age 70 of Plainville, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at her residence.
Penny was born on November 10, 1947 in Gordon County to the late Henry “Hank” Ford Wyatt and Iris Kathleen Guess Wyatt. In addition to her parents, Penny was also preceded in death by a brother, Terry Lee Wyatt; and step-parents, Hattie Wyatt and Jack Hartley. Penny formerly attended South Calhoun Baptist Church. Penny was always athletic, playing ladies softball, and was also an avid bowler, bowling high scores. She was always helpful to her family and friends. Penny was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Penny is survived by: her husband, Willard “Bo” Jordan of Plainville; one son, Bryan K. Jordan of Yazoo City, MS; three daughters, Tracey Michelle Hudson of Plainville, Tanya Marie Jordan of Plainville, and Tara Melinda Young and her husband Stacy of the Sonoraville Community; one brother, Bradley Lynn Wyatt and his wife Diane of Resaca; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, September 17th at 3 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Terry Timms and Minister Jon Mitchell officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11 AM until the funeral hour at 3 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
Graveside Services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 18th at 1:30 PM in the Georgia National Cemetery. The procession for the Graveside Service will depart from Thomas Funeral Home at 12 noon to the Georgia National Cemetery.
Pallbearers serving include: Texas Jordan, Race Hudson, Jarred Hudson, Austin York, Bret Young, and Zack Hall. Honorary Pallbearers include: Stacy Young, Joe Picon, Brian Proctor, and Eric Hall.
