Martha Ann Parker

Martha Ann Parker, age 86 of Ranger, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at her residence. Martha was born on December 20, 1931 in Gordon County to the late Noel Webb Ralston and Jessie Williams Ralston. In addition to her parents, Martha was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Talmadge Parker; sister, Lois Coggins; brother, Webb Ralston, Jr; son-in-law, Johnny Walraven; and grandson, Eric Chadwick. She was dedicated to the cause of Christ, and was a member of Mount Carmel Church of Jesus Christ. Martha was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Martha is survived by her three sons, Danny Parker and his wife Edna of Calhoun, Timothy Parker and his wife Diane of Ranger, and Barry Parker and his wife Tonya of Resaca; daughter, Judy Walraven of Resaca; three sisters, Ella Cox of Calhoun, Mary McGhee of Ranger, and Brenda Cornwell of Ranger; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild also survives. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, September 15th at 12 noon from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Joe Fountain officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Carmel Church of Jesus Christ Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 AM until the funeral hour at 12 noon at Thomas Funeral Home.
