Martha J. Holcomb

Martha Holcomb, age 77 of Sugar Valley, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 in Hamilton Medical Center of Dalton. Martha was born on January 4, 1937 in Liberty, SC to the late Joel Norman Young and Eugenia Farr Young. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Mary Young. She is survived by her husband, Max Holcomb of Sugar Valley; son, Michael Holcomb and his wife Angela of Dalton; brother, Don Young of Spartanburg, SC; sister-in-law, Peggy Owen of Dalton; four grandchildren; and eight grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, June 27th at 11:00am from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Ken Waddell. Burial will follow in the Sugar Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
