Martha Lee Bagwell

February 4, 2010 Mrs. Martha Lee Kisselburg Bagwell, age 77 of Calhoun, died Wednesday evening Feb. 3rd. at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Bagwell was born in Gordon County on Oct. 16, 1932 daughter of the late Herman and Viola Boswell Kisselburg and had spent her entire life here. She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church near Sonoraville and was retired from the textile industry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Gene Bagwell in 2002 and sister, Margaret Henson. Survivors include her son Jerry Bennett of Calhoun , daughter, Sherry Quinn of Calhoun, a brother; J.W. Kisselburg of Calhoun, two sisters; Betty Jean Chamblee and Nan Holcomb both of Calhoun, grandchildren; Heath Bennett, Terina Fowler and Kendra Quinn, three great-grandchildren; Deprise Bennett, Brianna Bennett, Brooke Fowler and Mackenzie Holland. Funeral serv ices will be conducted at 4:00 P.M. Friday Feb. 5th. From the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Timms and Heath Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason, Johnny and Mike Bagwell, Chris Kisselburg, Phil Holcomb and Randy Smith and they are asked to meet at the funeral home at 3:30 P.M. Friday. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. today (Thursday).
