Mark H. Shannon

Mark Howard Shannon, Sr., age 75 of Smyrna, GA, passed away Friday, January 28, 2011 in Abbey Hospice. Mark was born December 11, 1935 in Chattanooga, TN. Son of the late Vander Shannon and Callie Ray Shannon. He was a member of the Calvary Bible Church and attended Royal Diadem Tabernacle. He also served in the U.S. Army and was formerly employed by Lucent Technology. Survivors include; his wife, Charlotte Shannon of Smyrna; a son Mark H. Shannon, Jr. of Social Circle; two daughters; Sharon Adcock and her husband Doug of Smyrna, and Debbie Warren and her husband Ron of Power Springs; Seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00a.m. Tuesday, February 1st at Thomas Funeral Home, with Pastor Jeff O'Neal officiating. Emma Lee Roark will be in charge of music. Pallbearers include; Mark Shannon, Jacob Warren, Joshua Warren, Tim Warren, Caleb Goss and Wesley Phelps. Burial will be held at 2:30p.m. in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
