Marjorie Gantt

Mrs. Marjorie Sheron Gantt, age 79 of Calhoun,Georgia died Sunday November 15, 2009 in Redmond Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Gantt was born in West Somerset Kentucky on November 1, 1920 a daughter of the late James T. and Ruby P. Hopper Sheron. She had been a resident of Calhoun for the past 33 years, was a member of the Calhoun Seventh Day Adventist Church where she was employed as payroll clerk. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Robert Gantt, and two brothers James and Bobby Sheron. Survivors include two sons; William "Bill" Worthen II of Fletcher, N.C. and Thomas "Tom" Worthen of Marietta, Ga. , two brothers; Lindsey Sheron of Calhoun, and Raymond Sheron of Vine Grove, Kentucky. and a sister; Dorothy Killon of Stanford, Ky. five grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Saturday November 21st. from the Calhoun Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Jan White and Pastor Phil White officiating. Interment will follow in the Chandler cemetery in Calhoun. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. Friday evening. Thomas Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements for Mrs.Marjorie Shearon Gantt.
