Marian Lee Chilton

Thursday, December 11, 2008 Mrs. Marian Lee Chilton age 76 of Calhoun died Wednesday evening at the home of her son in Dalton following an extended illness. Marian was born in Fort Dodge Iowa, on August 31, 1932 daughter of the late Robert Carl and Kathryn O’Hara Anderson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, John Franklin Chilton, her mother in 2002, and a brother Bobby Anderson. She and her husband were the owners of Passport Carpets. Marian was the past president of the Gordon Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary and was a former Gordon County Chamber of Commerce volunteer. She was a member of the Calhoun First Presbyterian Church. Marian is survived by her children, Debbie and Russell Childress, Cindy and Allen Weathers, Terrie Greeson, Mark Chilton, Jeff and Sharon Chilton; grandchildren, David and Marcie Childress, Shelly and Michael Holden, A.J. and Daryl Weathers, Randy and Mindy Greeson, Cody Greeson, Tishanna and Matt DeFoor, Marissa Chilton, Andy and Zack Chilton, Krista and Matt Smith, Crystal Lewis, and Misty Sparkman; great grandchildren, Callie Stokes, Lindsey Adams,Hunter and Cody Holden, Kayla Weathers, Callie Densmore, Jarrett Greeson, Donovan and Dominic Sparkman, Ethan and Ava Lewis, Damon and Liberty Weathers, and Rand DeFoor, and a brother Mike Anderson. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 12 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Issac Walker officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and burial will be in Fain Cemetery. The Chilton family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
