12-5-2010 Margaret Ann Walraven, age 80 of Sugar Valley, died Friday, December 3rd at her residence. Margaret was born, March 19, 1930 in Floyd County, daughter of the late Ben Millican and Lottie Norman Millican. Also, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Addyson Davis, a brother, Ben Millican, and a special sister in law, Floy Walraven. Margaret was retired from the Mohawk Home Sample Department with 45 years of service. She was a member of the Sugar Valley Baptist Church had served and rocked many babies in the nursery during her 45 years membership. She had sung in choir and had done solos as well. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was her life. Margaret is survived by her husband, Frank Walraven of Sugar Valley; one son, Bruce Walraven and his wife, Cheryl of Calhoun; one daughter, Susan Walker of Sugar Valley; one brother, Melvin Millican and his wife Margarite of Dalton; brother-in-law Jim Walraven and his wife Joan of Hill City; sisters in law, Betty Walraven of Calhoun, Ann Millican of Dalton, Faye Floyd of Sugar Valley, Mary Frances Joseph of Brunswick and Helen Roach of Tennessee; 2 grandchildren, Amanda Walker, Jennifer Davis and her husband, Robert; 4 great grandchildren, Ryder Williams, Camden Davis, Kendal Williams, and Zayden Walker. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Sunday, December 5 at the Sugar Valley Baptist Church with the Reverend Mitch Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Musicians are Bert Jeffords, Nevin Weaver, Wayne Trundle and Amy Hartsfield. Pallbearers are Bobby and Jeff Walraven, Wade Floyd, Mark, Max and Brian Millican. Honorary escort is the Zeta Brown Sunday School Class and the Mohawk Home Sample Department. They are asked to meet at the church at 12:45 PM Sunday.
