Marcilene Whitaker

July 24, 2009 Miss Marcilene “Marcie” Whitaker, age 57 of Calhoun, Georgia died at 12:40 PM, Friday, in Gordon Hospital of Calhoun. Marcie was born, March 4, 1952 in Hazel Park, Michigan, daughter of the late Morris S. Whitaker and Nell Humphrey Whitaker. She had lived in Calhoun since 1989 and had been employed by Marketing Alliance of Calhoun. She was a Baptist. Marcie is survived by two sisters, Jeanette Gee and Carolyn Whitaker both of Calhoun; nieces and nephews, Pam Rhinehart and her husband Robert, Brenda Fletcher and her husband Freddie; Chris Gee; and several great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 26 at the chapel of the New Hope Funeral Home with the Reverend Harold Kelley officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home and burial will be in Whitaker Cemetery. New Hope Funeral Home, New Hope Alabama has charge of arrangements. Thomas Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
