Manuel David Morales, age 71 of Calhoun, went to sleep in Jesus Monday, March 23, 2020 at Erlanger Hospital.
Manuel was born on March 6, 1949, to the late Manuel Morales and Esther Marroquin in Guatemala City, Guatemala. He later immigrated from Guatemala in 1969. Manuel married Rosa Nelly Gudiel and lived in Boston for 50 years. He retired from Medical Instrument Research Associates in October 2019, and moved to Calhoun, Georgia in November. He was an active member and leader in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Manuel lived a very active lifestyle, running in the Boston Marathon and being an avid bicyclist. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was deeply spiritual and will be missed by many. We are comforted to know that he is sleeping in Jesus, and we will see him again on resurrection morning.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rosa Nelly Morales; three daughters, Melissa Krause and her husband Nathan, Sallie Bellino and her husband Sergio, Amy Gomez and her husband Jose; sister, Alma Divas; seven grandchildren, Daniel Krause, Hannah Krause, Andrea Bellino, Diego Bellino, Sabrina Gomez, Natalie Gomez, and Gabriela Gomez.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
