Mandy Jo Galmon Robertson

Mandy Jo Galmon Robertson, age 66 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022 at Emory University Hospital. She was a graduate of Calhoun High School. Mandy, her husband of 48 years, Mathew, and family owned and operated Shepherd Motel and Restaurant in Calhoun from 1972 to 2006.

Mandy was born on June 6, 1956 in Calhoun, GA, daughter of the late Willie Ross Galmon and Mandy Cudd Galmon. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by: three brothers, Slagle Ross Galmon, Wade C. Galmon, and Charles Ross Galmon; three sisters, Juanita Galmon, Edna Galmon Ray, and Madge Marie Galmon; father-in-law, W.G. Robertson; mother-in-law, Jimmie Robertson; and brother-in-law, Jerry Ward.

Mandy is survived by: her husband, Mathew Robertson; two daughters, Christina Dane Robertson of Tampa, FL and Stephanie Ciji Robertson of Calhoun, GA; two sons, William Ross Robertson of Calhoun, GA and Mathew Newton Robertson, Jr. of Tampa, FL; one brother, Billy E. Galmon and his wife Jan of Calhoun, GA; one sister, Lou Ann Ward of Calhoun, GA; brother-in-law, Thomas Robertson; and three grandchildren, Dylan, Liam, and Elijah. Mandy is survived by several nephews and nieces, including Mark Galmon and his wife, Spring of Denver, CO; David Galmon and his wife Jennifer of Centralia, WA; Tammy Strickland and her husband Floyd of Chattanooga, TN; and Jason Galmon of Calhoun, GA.

A Celebration of Life for Mandy will be held on Mathew and Mandy’s 48^th wedding anniversary on April 8, 2023.
