Maggie “Faye” Johnson Fields, age 56 of Ranger passed away Saturday afternoon July 16th at Gordon Hospital following a sudden attack.
Faye was born April 4, 1960 in Moultrie, Georgia, daughter of the late Murray and Mary Johnson. She was married to the late Jeff Fields for 37 years before his death on March 4, 2016. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by father and mother in law, George and Blanche Fields.
She is survived by two daughters, Joan DeFreese and her husband David and Melody Hogan and her husband Jason all of Calhoun. Three grandchildren, Tiffany Goforth, Anthony Brake and Alanna Hogan all of Calhoun. Four brothers, Glenn Johnson and his wife Nancy of South Carolina, Joe Johnson and his wife Carol of Pelham, Howard Johnson of Louisiana, and Lee Roy Johnson and his wife Marie of Fairmount. Two sisters, Stacy Ferro and her husband Bert of Lawrenceville, Carrie Christmas and her husband Mike of Calhoun. Sister and brother in laws, Carol Boyd and her husband Stanley of Fairmount, Martha Bullock and husband Chester of Ranger, and Roy Fields of Conyers.
Graveside rites will be conducted Tuesday July 19th at 11am at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery in Oakman with Rev. Michael Bullock and Dr. Stephen Pearson officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will include members of the O.B.K. Motorcycle Koalition.
The family will receive friends Monday evening July 18th from 5 until 8pm at the funeral home.
