Mae Harrelson

Wednesday, September 06, 2006 Mrs. Mae Harrelson age 95 of 530 Switch Rd. Calhoun, Ga. died Wednesday September 6th. at her residence. Mrs. Harrelson was born in Gordon County on January 29, 1911 daughter of the late Joe and Minnie Lou Moss Angland and had been a lifetime resident. She attended the Church of God and had worked the Cherokee Nursing Home as a Nurses Aide for 11 years, was a member of the Eastern Star and in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James “Toby” Harrelson in 1942, a son; Charley Harrelson and a daughter; Willie Mae Harrelson and a grandson; Kevin Long. She is survived by a daughter; Inez Long of Calhoun, a son; Harvey Harrelson and his wife Hilda of Calhoun and 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Friday September 8th. from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. J.B. Kirby officiating. Interment will follow in the Blackwood Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Brian Harrelson, Brian Goble, Michael Baldwin, Lamar Long, Alex Puttman, and Josh Stanfield and they are asked to meet at the funeral home at 2:30 P.M. on Friday. Hazel Bailey will have charge of the music. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Thursday evening.
