Wednesday, February 03, 2010 Mrs. Mabel Wright, age 63, of Resaca. Died Tuesday evening February 2nd in the Hamilton Medical Center. Mabel was born in Gilmer County, August 19, 1946. Daughter of the late Clifford and Hazel Parks Davis, Jr.. She was employed by Hamilton Medical Center as a home health care nurse and was a member of the Resaca Church of God. Besides her parents her brother, McNoel Davis, preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Danny Wright of Resaca. Two sons; Daniel DeFore and his wife Debbie of Rossville, and Danny Wright, Jr. and his wife Carla of Dalton. Two daughters; Susan Miller and her husband Daniel of Palatka, Fl., and Renee Deal and her husband Michael of Dalton. One brother, Jimmy Davis and his wife Brenda of Dalton. Three sisters; Brenda Dempsey of Dalton, Betty Cadden of Chatsworth, and Mary Ruth Penson and her husband Willard of Rocky Face. Six grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters in laws; Larry and Diane Wright, Stevie and Angie Wright, Greg Wright, Diane and Bryon Brown all of Resaca, Kathy and William Rittenhouse of Elijay and Ken Page of Dalton. Along with several nieces and nephews also surviving. Funeral services will be conducted 2pm Friday February 5th from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. With Rev. Curtis Belcher officiating. Burial will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Jimmy Lou Allen will have charge of the music. Pallbearers serving include; Dewayne Dowdy, James Muse, Eric Davis, Byron Brown, Tony Rogers, Stevie Wright, Daniel Miller, Sr., and Daniel Miller, Jr.. The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 4 until 9pm.
