Lynda Joyce Hunter

Friday, August 13, 2010 Mrs. Lynda J. Hunter, age 59 of Calhoun died at 5:48 AM, Friday, August 13 in the Etowah Landing Care and Rehabilitation Center of Rome. Lynda was born, June 29, 1951 in Gordon County, daughter of the late Clint Slaughter and Fannie Mae Tucker Slaughter. She was a lifetime resident of Calhoun and was a member of the Barrett Road Church of God. Lynda is survived by her husband, Ronnie Hunter of Calhoun; two sons, Robbie Hunter of Calhoun and Joseph Hunter of Dalton; two daughters, Shelly Hunter and Kelly Hunter; one brother, Sam Slaughter all of Calhoun; four sisters, Juanita Ray of Calhoun, Shirley Fuller and Cherrybee Slaughter both of Summerville and Mary Jo Freeman of Calhoun; and several grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM Saturday, August 14 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Norris Sexton officiating. Internment will follow in Chandler Cemetery.
