Luzine Davis Cornwell

Luzine Davis Cornwell, age 86, of Fairmount. Died Wednesday morning August 10th at Calhoun Health Care. Luzine was born January 21, 1925 in Catoosa County. Daughter of the late Hurlie and Mamie Thompson Davis. She was employed at Cornett Carpet prior to her retirement and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fairmount. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Murphy Lowe Cornwell, a brother, Clinton Davis and a sister, Clarice Wilson. Survivors include two daughters, Karen Herring and her husband Doyle of Ranger and Nancy Osborn of Dillard, Georgia. Two sisters, Belma Davis and Ethelle Brown and her husband John all of Cartersville. Three grandchildren, Scott Carden, Kacee Vian, and Lee Osborn. Six great-grandchildren, John Alan Vian, Ricky Vian, Justin, Joe, Brian and David Osborn. Funeral services will be conducted Friday August 12th at 1pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Langston officiating. Burial will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers serving include, Doyle Herring, John Vian, Justin Carden, Lee Osborn, Kyle Worthington, and John Brown. The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 4 until 8pm.
