Mrs. Lula Mozelle Wright
Mrs. Lula Mozelle Wright, 91, of Calhoun, died Sunday, June 19, 2011, at Morning Pointe Assisted Living, Calhoun, Georgia.
She was born in Calhoun, Georgia on June, 18, 1920, daughter of the late Frank and Sally Causby Wilson. Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her Husband, F.A. “Tom” Wright, to whom she was married for sixty-four years; sister, Pauline Anderson; and a son-in-law Ferrell Grizzle.
Mozelle was a devoted member of Belmont Baptist Church, where she served in children ministries for a number of years.
Mrs. Wright is survived by her daughters and sons-and-law, Theresia and Bill Walraven of Calhoun, and Ann and Robert Emerson of Townsend, GA; three grandsons and their wives, Kevin and Tracy McDearis of Johns Creek, Monte McDearis of Nashville, TN, DeVaughn and Melissa Grizzle of Dallas, GA; five great great-grandchildren, Madison, Bailey and Carson McDearis, Nicholas and Keegan MacLeod, and Reed Grizzle; several step-great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister Betty Cochran of Calhoun; a special brother and sister-in-law Mac and Shirley Wright, a special nephew Dan Cochran; beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and the staff of Morning Pointe.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 21, at 2:00 p.m., from Belmont Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jeff Hawkins and Dr. John Allen officiating. Jim and Treva Sellers and Linda Walter will be in charge of the music. The body will lie in state at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour. Interment to follow in Fain Cemetery.
Pallbearers serving include David Mcleod, Tim Murphy, Donald Daniel, Boland Williams, Phill Roland and Mickey Moore
Members of the staff of Morning Pointe Assisted Living will serve as Honorary Escort.
The family will receive friends Monday evening, June 20, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home.
