Ludie Faye Walraven Floyd, age 86 of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024 at Morning Pointe Assisted Living.
Ludie Faye was born on February 11, 1938 in Gordon County, GA, the daughter of the late Fayette Walraven and Ludie Watkins Walraven. In addition to her parents, Ludie Faye was also preceded in death by: her husband, Jimmy Floyd; and siblings, A.B. Walraven, Doyal Walraven, Ruby Bob Black, Mary Francis Joseph, Boyd Walraven, Frank Walraven, and Jim Walraven. Ludie Faye was retired from Mohawk Industries with 30 years of service in the textile industry. She was the oldest member of Sugar Valley Baptist Church, having been a member for 76 years. Ludie Faye loved the Lord, her church, her family, and her Sugar Valley Community. She was a great cook and friend to all who knew her.
Ludie Faye is survived by: her children, Darrell Floyd, Marshall (Ginger) Floyd, Wade Floyd, and Jill (Ken) Harrison; five grandchildren, Eric Floyd, Berry Floyd, Monica Floyd, Jessie Bennefield, and Wes Kearney; and several grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Morning Pointe Assisted Living, Gordon Health & Rehabilitation, and Homespun Hospice for their care.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 11 AM until 1 PM at Sugar Valley Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 1 PM at Sugar Valley Baptist Church with Reverend Mitch Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers serving include: Ricky Foster, Eric Floyd, George Hutchinson, Kevin Holsomback, Toby Holsomback, Mike Reece, Jimmy Reece, and Bruce Walraven.
