Louise McEntire

September 23, 2010 Mrs. Louise McEntire, age 79, of Calhoun, died Thursday morning September 23rd at her residence. Louise was born in Gordon County August 3, 1931, a daughter of the late William "Bill" and Helen Mae Stanfield Smith. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who for many years worked with her husband Paul in their family business. Louise was a member of the Calhoun First Baptist Church of Calhoun. She is survived by her husband Paul McEntire to whom she was married on February 25, 1955; two sons; Kevin McEntire and his wife Susie and Bob McEntire and his friend Sabrina; one daughter, Melea Harkins and her husband Johnny all of Calhoun. Six Grandchildren; Ian Thomas, Marla McEntire, Christopher McEntire, Lacey McEntire, Katlyn Dacus and Jai Harkins. One great grandchild, Ethan Thomas also survives. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday September 25th at 2pm from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Shirley Hall Moore will have charge of music.The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 until 8pm. Pallbearers serving include Ed Lewis, Pete Lewis, Tommy Hollingsworth, Randall Fox, John Early, David Hammond, and they are asked to meet at 1:45 at the funeral home Saturday. Shirely Hall Moore and Andrew McCloud will have charge of the music.
