Miss Louise Edge, age 87 of Calhoun die, Friday, May 17 at the residence of her cousin, Sue Rogers.
Louise was born, March 22, 1926 in Gordon County, daughter of the late Winston and Jessie Ballard Edge. She was preceded in death by brothers, Roy Ballard Edge and Butch Edge and a sister, Barbara Edge.
She had formerly lived in California where she was employed by Chevron Petroleum. She retired after 33 years service and returned to her home in Calhoun in 1990. She worked as a Gordon Hospital volunteer and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was loved and will be greatly missed by her family.
Louise is survived by one sister, Jean Ross of Douglasville; a cousin, Sue Rogers and her husband Billy of Adairsville. Additional cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 PM, Sunday, May 19 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Scott Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Valley Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jason Edge, Wade Abernathy, Scott Graham, and Kyle Childers. They are asked to meet at the funeral home at 3:15 PM Sunday. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
