Louann Cooper Brown, age 60 of Calhoun, passed away on Thursday morning, July 24, 2014 in Gordon Hospital.
Louann was born on November 10, 1953 in Crossville, TN. She was the daughter of the late Vincent Cooper and Tiva Jane Harris Cooper. She lived most of her life in Harlan County, KY, and later moved to Gordon County, where she has lived for the past 16 years. She was a loving mother and wife. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Rex Allen Brown and mother-in-law, Roberta Brown.
She is survived by her husband, Lewis Brown of Calhoun; three sons, Scott Brown and his wife Linda of Calhoun, Larry Brown of Plainville, and Jason Brown of Calhoun; five daughters, Laurel Coots and her husband Ernest of Hickory, NC, Crystal Canchola and her husband Luis of Adairsville, Melissa Hendrix and her husband Paul of Berea, KY, Barbara Penson and her husband Les of Lafayette, and Ann Brown of Calhoun; father-in-law, Willis Brown; four brothers, Charles Cooper, Ray Cooper, Tommy Cooper, and Richard Cooper; eight sisters, Susie Barns, Anna Cooper, Gail Wethington, Brenda Wethington, Betty Stamps, Joyce Cooper, Robbie Cooper, and Janet Batty; nineteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, July 26th at 11:00am from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Hershel Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park.
Pallbearers serving include Scott Brown, Larry Brown, Darrin Brown, Randall Hendrix, Derrick Middleton, and Jacob Hendrix.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at the funeral home.
