Mrs. Lottie Mae Smith 91 of 115 Circle Drive, Calhoun, died Thursday November 13th. at the residence following an extended illness.
Mrs. Smith was born in Gordon County on Jan. 19, 1917 daughter of the late Sam and Mary “Polly” Hefner Holsomback. She was a member of the Sugar Valley Baptist Church and was retired from the textile industry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Alban Presley Smith in 1984.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law; Barbara and Neal Holsomback of Sugar Valley, Ga, one brother Forrest Holsomback of Sugar Valley, Ga., three grandchildren; Terri and Billy Lambert, Holly Rogers and Jay and Shelley Holsomback, six great-grandchildren; Rett Rogers, Dustin , Corey, Chase Lambert, Sidney Crow and Bryson Parker and one grea-great-grandchild; Ava Grace.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday November 15th. from the Sugar Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Mitch Phillips and Rev. Howard Duvall officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain with Rev. William Roberts conducting the graveside services.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and are asked to meet at the Funeral Home at 1:30 P.M. Saturday.
Music will be arranged by Bert Jeffords.
The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Friday November 14th.
