Lola Ardell Wilson

Sunday, May 13, 2007 Mrs. Lola Ardell Wilson, age 84 of Calhoun died, at 6:00 PM, Saturday, May 12 in Gordon Hospital. She was born, May 1, 1925 in Fort Payne Alabama, daughter of the late Charles Homer Jones and Sara Alma Martin Jones. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Houston Wilson, February 1, 2000; a son, Charles LaDon Wilson, and a brother, Charles Dorman Jones. She was a member of the South Calhoun Baptist Church. Mrs. Wilson is survived by, three sons, Lamar Wilson, Danny Wilson and his wife Phebe, and Eddie Hughdon Wilson and his wife, Robin; four daughters, Lola Faye Baker and her husband Ted, Elaine Stover and her husband Jack, Brenda Gail Balliew and her husband Coleman, Sharon Annette Rittenhouse and her husband Danny all of Calhoun; 2 brothers, Floyd Jones and James Ronald Jones both of Fort Payne, Alabama; 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and one great, great, grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 15 at the South Calhoun Baptist Church with the Reverends James “Sonny” Wilson, Lamar Bearden, and Duane Bohannon officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers, and burial will be in Chandler Cemetery. The Wilson family will receive friends from 5:00 until 9:00 PM, Monday at the funeral home.
