Lois E. Silks

Wednesday, December 09, 2009 Lois E. Silks, age 89, of Calhoun. Died Wednesday morning December 9th in Gordon Health Care following several months of declining health. Lois was born in Gordon County March 10, 1920. Daughter of the late George and Ruth Johnson Silks. She was retired from the medical profession and was a charter member of the St Clements Catholic Church. She is survived by a number of cousins and many friends. The Funeral Mass will be conducted Friday December 11th at 11am from the St. Clements Catholic Church. With Father Joe Shaute officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwood Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include; John Richardson, William Butler, Keith Richardson, and Ted Collins. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 4 until 7pm. With the prayer service being at 6pm with Deacon Brad Krupa officiating.
