Lois Rich

Thursday, June 26, 2008 Mrs. Lois Eleene “Tootsie” Rich age 86 of 546 E. Pleasant Valley Rd., Adairsville, Ga. died Tuesday June 24th. in the Redmond Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Rich was born in Gordon County on Nov. 25th. 1921 daughter of the late Oscar Lee and Louie Mae Andrews Metcalf and had spent most of her life here. She was a member of the Barrett Road Church of God and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son; Andy Rich, a grandson; Greg Harkins and a son-in-law; George Walker. Survivors include two sons; Michael Rich and his wife Jeanette and David K. Rich all of Calhoun, five daughters; JoAnn Walker and Pam Rich both of Calhoun, Joyce Waters and her husband Billy of Cartersville, Margaret Nichols and her husband Tim of Blairsville and Edith Womack and her husband O.V. of Adairsville, One sister Mary Fletcher and her husband Roy of Adairsville. 24 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday June 27th. from the Oostanaula Baptist Church with Rev. Norris Sexton and Rev. Luther Raines officiating. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Terry Erwin, Jarrod Stone, Steve Rich, Tom Nichols, Michael Rich and Larry Barnette and they are asked to meet at the Funeral Home at 12:30 P.M. on Friday. Honorary pallbearers include David, Roger, Lee and Stephen Fletcher and Great-grandsons and they are asked to meet at the Church at 1:45 P.M. Friday. On Friday the body will lie instate at the Church from 1:00 until the funeral hour. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Thursday.
