Linda M. "Nana" Ross

Linda M. “Nana” Ross, age 72 of Resaca, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at her residence. Linda was born on June 14, 1943 in Trion, GA to the late Elena Owens Dixon. She loved to dance, spending time with her grandchildren and family, playing Canasta, loved birds, and going to Disney World. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Calvin Dunlap, Sr. and Robert Owens; sister, Effie Cox; special great-niece, Heather Blackmon; and sister-in-law, Barbara Dunlap. She is survived by her son, Jack Dewayne Ross and his wife Jennifer of Calhoun; daughter, Patsy Howard Delph and her husband Dean of Calhoun; three grandchildren, Jessica Ross Alcorn and her husband Timothy of Calhoun, Jeremy Dwayne Ross and his wife Julie of Calhoun, and Dakota Ryan Delph of Calhoun; and her beloved pet and companion, Penny. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, May 14th at 1 PM at Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Chris Owens and Reverend Ken Westmoreland officiating. Entombment will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park with Jeremy Dewayne Ross, Dakota Ryan Delph, Timothy Allen Alcorn, Brandon Scoggins, Mike Scoggins, and Shawn Broom. Honorary Pallbearers will be the employees of Horizon, Mohawk Carpet and great-nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 13th from 5 PM until 8 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
