Linda Louise Bagwell

Monday, January 26, 2009 Mrs. Linda Payne Bagwell, age 58 of Calhoun died at 4:45 P.M. Sunday, January 25th. at her residence following several months of illness. Linda was born in Gordon County, December 6, 1950 , a daughter of the late Marshall Payne and Alma Rash Payne. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Bagwell on February 8, 2008, and was a Baptist. She was a good hearted loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include two sons; David Deaton of Calhoun and Shane Bagwell and his wife Barbara Kay of Inman, South Carolina ; two daughters; Angela Hunter and her husband Michael, and Brandy Bagwell both of Calhoun, three brothers; Wayne Payne of Plainville, Charlie Payne of Romee and Lowell Payne of Chatsworth, Ga., eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Two of her grandchildren were raised as her children, and they are Jeffrey and Bryson Bagwell. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday January 27th. from the Chapel of the Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery at Oakman. Pallbearers serving include Jeremy Kepheart, Melvin Meadows, Wayne Payne Jr, Norman Carpenter, Keith Goodnight, LaRon Blackman and Jeff Crider and the y are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:45 P.M. on Tuesday. The family will receive friends at the Thomas Funeral Home from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. today (Monday).
