Mrs. Kathryn Miller Braden, age 92 of Atlanta and formerly Plainville died Monday, September 4, 2006.
Kathryn was born, March 29, 1914 in Plainville, the daughter of Harvey Lee Miller and Myrtle Boswell Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lindsey in 1996, a retired employee of Reynolds Aluminum Co.; and a sister, Clara Louise Kadel. She spent her childhood in Plainville and Chattanooga attending school in Plainville and at Young Harris College. She was married to Lindsey Braden June 19, 1938. She had resided at the Sanctuary at Northstar for the past several years.
Kathryn had formerly resided in Brunswick and Savannah. Later, the family lived in the Loring Heights Community of Atlanta for over 50 years. Kathryn and her husband Lindsey were active members of the Tenth Street United Methodist Church; also, for over 50 years. She cherished the love of friendships made during those years, and she will be remembered for her devotion to her family and her love and devotion to God.
Kathryn is survived by two sons, Larry L. Braden of Powder Springs and Lance M. Braden of Atlanta; one brother, Harvey Dale Miller of Tennessee; two grandchildren, Jonathan Braden and Katie Robertson; and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 4 at the 10th Street United Methodist Church of Atlanta with the Reverend Ted Rollins officiating. The body will lie in state from 10:00 until 11:00 AM preceding the service. Burial and committal services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Wednesday at the Salmon Cemetery near Plainville
