Lee Murphy Coulby, 62, of Calhoun went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center of Ashville North Carolina. A native of Buncombe County, he had resided in Calhoun, GA since the late 1970’s. He started as a grocer with K-Mart Foods, Ingles and Piggly Wiggly.He established Lee’s Mobile Home Services and retired from Kerry Ingredients, Inc. He was an alumnus of the Clyde A. Erwin High School, class of 1970. Mr. Coulby was a son of the late William Edward “Ed” Coulby and Dorothy Mildred Murphy Coulby. He was also preceded in death by his nephew, Phil Coulby. Surviving are his daughter, Amber Coulby Rice and husband Jeff of Asheville; son, Cameron Coulby and fiancee’ Melissa Gaines of Summerville, GA; grandchildren, Makenzie, Braxton, Kylee, Brayden and Brystol; sister, Peggy Coulby Hayes and husband Charley of Hendersonville; brother, Bill Coulby and wife Jackie of Arden. The family will receive friends on Monday evening, October 13th from 6:00 until 8:00pm at Thomas Funeral Home. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to his children’s mother’s, Cathy Johnson of Arden and Karen McKinney of Summerville, GA and the staff of John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center for their love, care and support for our dad during this time. Memorials may be made to: John F.
