Kitty Pearl Baxley, age 92 of the Red Bud Community, died at 3:33 PM, Saturday, July 18, 2015 in Gordon Health Care following several months of illness.
Kitty Pearl was born in Gordon County, May 23, 1923, a daughter of the late Worth H. Reddick and Katherine Byrd Reddick. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Willie M. Baxley, Jr. on January 11, 1995 and her son, Willie M. “Son” Baxley III. She was Veteran of World War II, US Navy and was a retired nurse. She had formerly been employed by Gordon Hospital and Hamilton Medical Center.
Kitty Pearl is survived by one son Ken Baxley and his wife of Jasper, and several grandchildren.
Graveside rites and committal services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, August 1, at the Mount Pleasant United Church Cemetery with Dr. Bert Vaughn officiating. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall of Mount Pleasant Church after the service.
