Mr. Kenneth L. Mountz, age 79 of 104 Arbor Place, Calhoun, died Tuesday August 1st at his residence following several months of declining health.
Mr. Mountz was born in Geigertown, Pennsylvania on Sept. 20, 1926 son of the late Warren C. and Elsie Hohl Mountz. He was a member of the Calhoun First United Methodist Church, the V.F.W. in Blairsville, Ga. and the Gideons. Prior to his retirement Mr. Mountz was in the Insurance Business and was a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Army with the rank of Sgt.First Class.
Survivors include his wife Ann Louise Enoch Mountz of Calhoun, Two sons; Thomas A. Mountz of Woodstock, Ga. and John R. Mountz of Chattanooga, Tn. One Daughter; Karel Downing of Soquel, California, two Brothers; Calvin Mountz of Birdsboro, Pa. and Robert Mountz of State College, Pa., two Sisters; Verna Warren of Cave Junction, Oregon and Betty Ogden of Athens, Ga.. Three grandchildren also survive.
Memorial Services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday August 12th. From the Calhoun First United Methodist Church with Dr. Brian Clark officiating.
Mr. Mountz’s ashes will be buried in the U.S. National Cemetery near Canton, Ga.
